We’ve had the distinct pleasure of having Coach Chris be a huge part of our hoops family for 5+ years.  Chris is more than just a basketball coach,  ….he’s a leader of young men.  He’s the most trusted, knowledgeable, caring,  and passionate coach we’ve had in 10 years of playing the game.  Our son started with Coach Chris in 4/5^th grade (he’s now a Junior at Foothill HS)   I think what stands out the most is how Chris fully understands the game and knows how to connect with the kids.  He gets to really know the kids and that helps him understand when to push the kids to play harder and when they might need softer words of support.

Our son learned the game of basketball from Chris.  He learned what it means to be accountable to his teammates,  he learned the importance of working hard in practice, playing the right way and having fun. This balance of playing smart, free, and unselfish has built so much confidence in my son.  We are now playing High School basketball and absolutely owe much of our son’s success to Coach Chris and the family he built with the kids and the parents on and off the court!

Coach Chris is an amazing coach and an even better person.  His knowledge and passion for the game is evident in the way his teams play the game of basketball.  What truly impresses me is the level of love and respect that his players have for him.  He is always upbeat and makes practices fun even while working hard.  But more importantly, he is an incredible mentor and role model.  This is so important when you entrust your child to learn from a coach or a teacher.  Chris always preaches making smart decisions whether it’s on or off the basketball court.  Consequently, his basketball teams have had success since the kids play with confidence, share the ball and have each other’s backs.

Both of my boys have had many coaches throughout CYO, AAU, and High School.   Looking back, Coach Chris has made the most impact on my son’s basketball career

Coach Chris is fun to play for. Everyone on his team gets to play a good amount in the games. I always felt Coach Chris was fair with all of us. If you are open on Coach’s team he expects you to shoot the ball

Coach Chris Meredith has been such a positive influence for my son both on and off the court. He has a special bond with each player he coaches. He manages to reach them on every level while building a family environment for the boys. He continues to be a huge advocate in my sons life.

Coach Meredith not only improved my son as a basketball player but he molded him into a self-disciplined and responsible young man. He creates a mutually respectful relationship with each boy and gets them to “buy-in”.  This results in each member of the team reaching his full potential on the court and in life as a whole. We are HUGE fans of Coach Meredith.

Hi Coach, thank you for helping me become a better player on and off the court. You have changed the way I played and helped me dramatically. The years I have played for you, overall you are my favorite coach to ever have played for and hopefully we can still play with each other. The basketball player I am today would not have been done without your help. Again, thank you for all the blood, sweat, and tears you had put for our team and on me to become the best basketball player I can be.

Chris Meredith has been a great influence on my two sons (and Me) on and off the hardwood.  Chris provides strong guidance and leadership in a positive manner to all his players.  Chris always has your child’s best interest in heart and mind.  Chris is a great strategic and tactical instructor that will get the most out of his teams.  Chris works with each player to help them create a plan with goals for the next step in their career.  My boys love playing for Coach Meredith.  Chris loves each and every kid he has the opportunity to coach.  I am a better father and person for having been around Chris for the last several years.

Chris, you have made basketball a love for my child Rysen.   Your charismatic, enthusiastic approach to the game is amazing.   No other coach or person has been able to do this for my child.   You are disciplined yet so positive that the kids don’t even realize they are being disciplined.   You are so encouraging and uplifting and at the same time teaching at every moment.   Every child should have an opportunity to experience your gift.   Thank you for all you do and have done for my boy.   You are simply amazing!

Having my son play on Chris Meredith’s team was a fantastic experience. Chris is great with the kids and pushes them without yelling.  His feedback and encouragement to my son was exactly what my son needed. Chris has a lot of experience and is a too level coach that kids can learn from. Highly recommended.

Coach Meredith has helped me tremendously on and off the court. He showed me guidance as a young kid and always being there for when I needed it. Teaching me basketball and that there is much more to it. Coach has definitely made a strong impact on the young man I am today. Without his help I would not know where I would be without him. His dedication and love for basketball is pure and we both shared that. I definitely would not be the player I am today without him. He has taught me to have a great work ethic on and off the court.

My son has been coached by Chris since the 4^th grade. The impact that Chris has made on him goes well beyond the game of basketball. Chris not only is a phenomenal coach but an even better person. He truly cares about each individual players as if they were his own. We have played for a lot of great coaches over the years, but what we experienced with Chris is unlike any other. Truly a remarkable person before anything else.  My son learned what it means to be a great teammate on the floor, and a great person off. He created a culture of accountability and brotherhood….always challenging the kids to be their absolute best and they would respond… I can honestly say Coach Chris has had the biggest impact on my son in his athletic career.  Still playing today he often talks about Coach Chris and all the great things he has learned. Even though Chris no longer is our coach he continues to check in with my son with words of encouragement and support…This demonstrates what kind of person Chris is.  I only wish we had more time with him as a coach…but thankful knowing he will be a part of our life forever.
